Chris Laird
 Head Coach

 
Coach Chris Laird is in his third full year as a teacher and a coach. He teaches geometry and coaches football and baseball. He is a graduate of Nederland High School where he played football and baseball. After High School, Coach Laird went to Angelina Junior College for two years to play baseball, and then finished his degree in Mathematics at Lamar University. “I am really excited about being able to coach these young people and help them become better men on and off the field," says Laird.

Kyle Wade
Varsity Assistant Coach


Coach Wade started teaching world history and coaching at Cy-Falls High School in 2008 and has been the varsity assistant coach since the 2012 season. His concentration is honing the defensive skills of the infield and hitting.  

Coach Wade, a native of Michigan, graduated from high school in 2002 and played centerfield for Hillsdale College. After graduating with a degree in history in 2006, he played minor league baseball in Bay City with the Bay Area Toros until joining the faculty of Cy-Falls High School.

Andrew Jones
JV Coach


Coach Jones joined the faculty of Cy-Falls High School in 2007 and this will be his third season coaching baseball. He is a U.S. history teacher and also an assistant football coach. He will coach the JV team. Coach Jones played baseball while a student at Cy-Falls, worked out with the Texas A&M club teams for two seasons, and played in an adult league. He graduated from Falls in 2001 and earned his geography degree from Texas A&M in 2007. “I look forward to working with and teaching these players, watching them develop over the course of their baseball careers,” says Jones.



Zach Toth
Sophomore Coach

Coach Toth is in his first year coaching high school baseball and teaches health and physical education. He is a graduate of Katy’s Mayde Creek High School. He played baseball at Eastfield Junior College and the University of Texas at Permian Basin. He graduated from Texas State University where he majored in Exercise and Sports Science with a minor in Special Education.
